  37.       This coverage includes arc segments that describe meridians
  38.       and parallels at an interval of two degrees of longitude and
  39.       two degrees of latitude in the Australia and New Zealand area
  40.       (Australia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tonga and Vanuatu; and
  41.       portions of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands).

  43.     Purpose:
  44.       To provide a locational reference grid of latitude and longitude
  45.       to Open File Report 97-470F Maps Showing Geology, Geologic
  46.       Provinces, and Oil and Gas Fields of the Asia Pacific Region;
  47.       Plate 3: Australia and New Zealand, which is being compiled
  48.       as a reference for the U.S. Geological Survey's World Energy
  49.       Project assessment of undiscovered, technically recoverable
  50.       oil and gas resources of the world.  This coverage is used to
  51.       produce a map and an Adobe Acrobat Portable Document of the map
  52.       to be published on CD-ROM. An Arcview shapefile derived from
  53.       this coverage is used in an Arcview project and an ArcExplorer
  54.       project.
